Citizen Lake Monitoring Training

Volunteers are needed to monitor water quality on Lake Wisconsin. A number of sites are available for secchi disk monitoring in 2019. Volunteers monitor a set location every 10-14 days by kayak, boat, or other watercraft. Secchi disks are used to measure the clarity of the lake and can be used as an indicator of water quality. For available sites and additional information, visit the Lake Wisconsin Alliance website. Additional information about the Citizen Lake Monitoring Network can be found on here.

A training session is scheduled for Friday, May 17th at Lucky’s on the Lake’s pier (north of Hwy V) at 3pm. Please RSVP if you would like to attend by contacting Melissa at 608-355-4838 or melissa.keenan@saukcountywi.gov.
